EcoVadis awards GEZE bronze medal: Significant progress in all ESG categories
GEZE receives bronze medal for the first time in the internationally recognised EcoVadis Sustainability Rating for its commitment to sustainability. The award recognises the consistent further development of the sustainability strategy of the door, window and safety technology specialist compared to the previous year. The assessment was primarily based on stricter guidelines, tighter controls and a risk-based approach to the supply chain.

The EcoVadis rating is based on a comprehensive questionnaire and analyses companies in four key areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainability. GEZE improved in all four categories examined in the current rating, compared to the previous year. The overall score rose from 57 to 66 points. This puts the Leonberg-based company among the top 35 per cent of all companies assessed in the industry.

After GEZE achieved significant growth in the previous year, particularly in the areas of the environment and sustainability in procurement, the focus in 2025 was on the further development of labour and human rights (up 17 points) and ethics (up 9 points). Updated codes of conduct, mandatory training and a close-knit control framework increase compliance security. At the same time, risk analyses were incorporated into business processes in order to systematically address human rights and labour law requirements and make them auditable.
The value chain has also been further developed: GEZE assesses suppliers on a risk basis, incorporates ESG criteria into contracts and requires reliable evidence. The measures range from extended self-disclosures to on-site audits. The high proportion of European sourcing shortens transport routes, increases transparency and contributes to the reduction of transport-related emissions.
Environmental performance remains at a high level
GEZE once again achieved the highest rating in the area of the environment. With 73 points, the company confirms its strong performance. GEZE controls energy and resource issues using certified management systems, uses green electricity and green gas in Germany, and focuses on efficient processes: from waste and hazardous substance management to heat recovery and combined heat and power. The data base is continuously expanded in order to reliably measure progress and set priorities based on evidence.
Sustainability as a continuous process

GEZE understands sustainability as an integral part of industrial practice. Clear responsibilities, regular reviews and transparent communication ensure continuous improvement. At the same time, the company develops products that contribute to resource conservation throughout their entire life cycle: they are designed to be durable, can be repaired with original parts, can be upgraded with retrofits and integrated into building automation systems to enable demand-based ventilation and energy-efficient operation.
